Runner up if you are into the Amazon infrastructure, would be a FireTV4KMax which does have a DirecTV Stream app. It also works for a couple other apps that wont run on GoogleTV, and can usually be found on sale for $70.

I have one programmed to "Forward 4 minutes" and it will skip a commercial break in one press. If you got locked into that DTVN price then. However - DirecTV NOW kinda sucks and PS Vue is better, in my honest opinion after using both for several months. I dont think any On Demand stuff works though. It has two programmable remote buttons, which can memorize voice commands. brandogg said: If you search (I think I even may have made the topic) there is a 'fully' working DirecTV NOW Android TV apk on these forums. Roku Ultra 4800 because not only is it snappy, and the audio pass through works great, allowing the AVR to do dolby 5.1 correctly, but also lets it convert the 2.0 channels to phantom 7.1. Remote has a Guide and List button, and direct entry channel numbers. Using PCM mode with PrologicII sounds good though. The Osprey box is the best option IF you do not mind that on the Dolby 2.0 channels, it uses the left and right speakers, and blocks and AVR from creating a phantom center and rear channels. I sideloaded the DTV Stream android mobile app on the TV but its kind of difficult to fast forward commercials as it is kind of laggy, but it does work. and you need to have and Apple account and a itunes account, just to install an app on it. I just returned an Apple TV, remote will drive you crazy.
